Auto-Search is a new subtle feature introduced into Google Docs, which will bring up a box that assists you in searching for things when you are adding a link to a document or slideshow. This saves you having to open another tab in order to find that website link you wanted, and it will even let you search through your Google Drive.
For those of you that rely on Google Drive as part of your company’s infrastructure, chances are you link various documents together in order to create intelligence in your reporting and dashboarding – in which case, Auto Search is a real benefit to you.
